Working
Together
for Amangarh

Practical support for frontline forest staff, local communities and the
remarkable landscape of Amangarh Tiger Reserve.

Our work on the ground

A partnership
rooted in listening

We work alongside the Forest Department and neighbouring communities—understanding local priorities and supporting practical initiatives that make a meaningful difference.

Safe, filtered drinking water is now available to personnel stationed at the forest camp.

Clean Water for
Those Who
Protect the
Forest

Forest staff work long hours in demanding conditions to safeguard Amangarh’s wildlife and natural habitats. Access to safe drinking water is an essential but often overlooked requirement.

Wildlife Guardians Trust provided a water cooler with RO filtration for the forest staff at Amangarh Tiger Reserve. This was our first practical contribution to Amangarh—and an important first step in building a long-term relationship with the reserve and its frontline team.

Walking the Forest
Together

Meaningful conservation support must be informed by conditions on the ground. WGT joined officers and frontline staff during field visits to better understand their work, challenges and priorities. These visits help us identify where focused assistance can best complement the work of the Forest Department.

Community engagement

Inspiring Young
Guardians

The future of Amangarh is closely connected to the young people growing up around the forest. WGT participated in an awareness programme bringing local schoolchildren together with Forest Department officers to learn about wildlife, forests and conservation.

Through discussion and a wildlife-themed drawing competition, children expressed their understanding of nature creatively. Educational gifts recognised their enthusiasm and participation.

“When children understand the forest, they begin to see
themselves as part of its future.”

This Is Only the Beginning

From supporting frontline staff to encouraging conservation awareness among children, every initiative strengthens the relationship between wildlife, people and nature.
